How to choose a professional fertilizer
A professional fertilizer is chosen from a soil analysis, not from habit. The analysis (pH, active lime, CEC, organic matter, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, trace elements) reveals the limiting factor: under Liebig’s law of the minimum, the most deficient nutrient caps the yield, and adding everything else is pointless until it is corrected.
You then aim for the useful rate, at the right time, in split applications, consistent with the soil, the crop and the climate.
- Soil analysis first
- The limiting factor decides (Liebig’s law)
- The useful rate, at the right stage, in split applications
The Germiflor method, in this order
The right fertilizer corrects what limits the crop. To find it, always the same order: the soil, the crop, then adjustments.
- 01Soil supportFallAfter harvest
Structure, humus, microbial life, water-holding capacity: an organic soil amendment, chosen from the soil analysis.
- 02NutritionLate winter, springRegrowth
The right nutrients, at the right growth stage, in split applications.
- 03AdjustmentsDuring the seasonObservation
Observation, irrigation, cover crops, targeted corrections.
To apply it field by field: the living soil method in 6 steps.
Organic or organo-mineral fertilizer: which one for which need?
An organic fertilizer or soil amendment supports fertility over time: organic matter, biological activity, structure. An organo-mineral fertilizer keeps that organic base and adds mineral nutrients, to steer the nutrition of a demanding crop more directly.

Mazor® and Cronops®: the base of our fertilizers
Most of our formulas are built on Mazor®, an organic material composted with our patented Cronops® process (patent FR2103847). This controlled composting stabilizes the carbon, balances the C/N ratio, eliminates pathogens and builds up the microflora: the material reaches the soil stable and active, instead of drawing nitrogen from the soil the way a raw material can.
Patented Cronops® process · FR2103847
- 7 months of controlled composting
- 1 billion micro-organisms per gram
- The basis of our amendments and organo-mineral fertilizers
For many years, we have found in GERMIFLOR a true partner, attentive to our market expectations, in product quality as well as agronomic and logistical support.

Professional fertilizers: your questions
Our technical team’s answers to growers’ and green space managers’ questions.
Which soil analysis do I need to choose the right fertilizer?
Ideally pH, active lime, CEC, organic matter, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium and trace elements (iron, manganese, zinc, copper), salinity if needed, plus the field’s history (yields, inputs, irrigation, tillage). That is what reveals the limiting factor.
Can your professional fertilizers be used in organic farming?
Most of them, yes: 90% of our production is intended for organic farming. Depending on the product, the page lists EU organic, USDA Organic or Vegan, along with the product standard (NF U 44-051, NF U 42-001…).
How much fertilizer per hectare?
It depends on the analysis, the crop and the goal. Each product page gives guidelines: for example, 500 to 800 kg/ha of Deltaflor® 11-3-5 CK in vineyards, orchards and field crops. Our technical team can set the rate from your analysis.
How do I get a custom formula?
More than 600 formulas already exist, and we create custom blends based on the soil, the crop, the goal and your constraints. Send your analysis and acreage to our technical team.
Where can I buy Germiflor professional fertilizers?
Directly from Germiflor on quotation, or through our distribution network. For home gardens, the Marcel le Jardinier range comes in small sizes.
